About Us

Little Petal is a team of multidisciplinary professionals passionate about children’s safety, wellbeing, and development. Established in 2021, our company was created out of necessity to fulfil the service needs of families living with disabilities and/or complex needs, such as child protection concerns.

Why Choose Us?

Qualified, Caring Staff

The Little Petal team is a collective of qualified and skilled individuals that have undertaken the necessary screening processes to determine their eligibility to work safely with children. A Little Petal Educator also possesses the following skills and resources to effectively carry out their role and responsibilities:

  • Current first aid skills, access to resources to administer basic first aid, and a mobile worker safety app that can be used to activate alerts and emergency services attendance in the case of any emergency.

  • Current licence, satisfactory driving record, and comprehensively insured vehicle.

  • Skills and knowledge to fulfill their duty of care obligations under national law to protect children from any risk of harm, abuse, and neglect and to always maintain a child’s safety and well-being as main priority.

  • Child development resources to support children with their developmental needs.

  • Ability to work alongside allied health professionals and implement their professional recommendations with the children enrolled with Little Petal.

Prior to in-home child care service delivery, a social work assessment is conducted with the family at the residence of where the care will take place. The enrolment process and documents are completed including, medical action plans for each child in the home if required. The initial home safety risk assessment is also completed at this time to ensure that the home environment is free from risks and hazards that prevents the Educator from successfully and safely supporting the family.

Parent Testimonials

See why our families love us…

"Liv has been amazing, and the transition has gone really well with the girls! They have adjusted really well and warmed to Liv very quickly."

"I love Brooke, she gets me! And now understands the stuff I worry about! Sometimes I find it near impossible to know if I'm doing it right! She assures me I'm doing a great job and that makes me feel better and stronger! It's quite refreshing actually! Could well be the difference to my being able to do it all in the end!"

Thank you for introducing Lily to my family - she is so thoughtful and calm, and [The kids] are already really fond of her and look forward to the mornings she is scheduled to visit. I feel extremely lucky to have someone so practical and unflappable, to work alongside with when trying to manage the mornings.
