Children's Contact Support Services

Supportive Supervision

Little Petal contact supervisors are well equipped to facilitate supervised contact visits between children and the parent with whom they do not ordinarily reside. We offer flexible hours to accommodate children’s daily routines and the scheduling needs of each parent or caregiver, ensuring seamless integration with the unique circumstances of each contact arrangement.

We provide supervised contact support in both community and home environments. Our approach mirrors what future unsupervised contact may look like, helping ensure a smooth transition when the time is right.

Notes & Reports

After each session, our contact supervisors prepare notes on the interactions between the child and the visiting parent.

A comprehensive observational report is available upon request with at least two weeks’ notice. This report summarises professional observations from all parent-child contact sessions and are available to both parents and their legal representatives upon request.

Our notes and reports, written with a child-focused perspective, ensure that the children’s voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes.

Safety

At Little Petal, the safety of the children, individuals and families we serve is our highest priority. We have access to a worker safety app that enables us to quickly trigger a response from first responders and/or security patrols in case of any emergency.

Flexibility

Our service delivery is highly flexible and tailored to each family’s unique needs.

We strive to minimise disruptions to children’s routines and parents’ employment, offering a variety of contact dates and times.
