In-Home Child Care Supports

Little Petal CC services are an infusion of Social Work and Early Childhood Education and Care values, theories, principles, and practices. Our Approved In Home Child Care service is monitored for strictest compliance with the National Quality Framework by the Regulatory Authority, the Education Standards Board SA.
Our multi-disciplinary approach to in-home child care support allows us to better meet the child’s holistic needs.

What We Do

We cater for children from the ages of 0 years old and above with varying care needs. Some of what we provide for children and families include:

  • Practical, emotional, and social support in the home and out in the community.
  • Safe transport to and from school or activities.
  • Support to increase parenting capacity; including practical supports to implement the family’s daily routines and exploring secure attachment opportunities with caregivers/parents and the children entrusted in our care.
  • Facilitating fun and interactive child development activities that are suitable to the child’s needs and abilities.
  • Assistance with nutritional meal preparation and other practical home duties.
  • Ensuring a child safe environment by completing risk assessments in the home and wherever care is taking place together with the family and complying with Little Petal Policies and Procedures and State and National laws.
Little Petal Educators
  • Must have current Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
  • Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or evidence of enrolment in Certificate III, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • Completed current Child Safe Environments training.
  • Completed current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect training.
  • Experience working with children of various ages and varying developmental needs.
  • Sound knowledge of child development needs and abilities.
  • Hold a current and valid driver’s licence and possess a satisfactory driving record.
  • Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle to transport children.

Service Fees

Our fees may be paid via:

  • NDIS funding (if our in-home child care services are in accordance with the participant’s plan goals and budget allowances).
  • Agency funding.
  • Private funding.
Little Petal is an approved service by the Education Standards Board SA that allows our qualified, trusted, and experienced Educators to provide childcare services in the family’s home.
